Resetting the Admin Password of Brocade SAN Switch’s

Hardware: -

San Switch Model’s: DS300B, DS200B and all brocade switches.


Problem Summary : -

The library drive has been changed with new one. And the new drive WWN no need to be updated on the Zoning configuration.

To make the visible the new drive to the master & media server. But customer forgets the admin password of the SAN switch. The password has been reset by using the root user login. Zoning has been reconfigured.

Steps followed as below:

1. When the switches are shipped the below default users are available to manage the switch.
2. Use the below any one user name with password and login through web console.
3. Once logged in use the admin user and go for change the password.
4. As per the policy keep standard password ( follow the password rule)

User Name’s with password:

1. Username: factory

Password: serv4EMC

2. Username: root

Password: fibranne

Note: This user names & complete passwords are available only with technical support Engineer of EMC.
